This story comes from my interview with Calvin Diaz as he delivered mail on Poydras Street during the first surge of the pandemic in New Orleans. We talked for hours about his childhood, his marriage, and his church sessions on Zoom, and I took more than 200 pictures that I studied as inspiration for my drawings.
